Orthopedic Massage

Orthopedic massage involves
therapeutic assessment, manipulation
and movement of locomotor soft tissue
to reduce pain and dysfunction.
Restoring structural balance
throughout the body and allows focus
on both prevention and rehabilitation
of musculoskeletal dysfunctions
caused by injury, poor posture and/or
improper body mechanics.
Sports Massage

A "kissing" cousin of orthopedic
massage and "sister" to Swedish
massage, Sports massage uses the
soft tissue assessment from
orthopedic massage and the soft
tissue manipulation of Swedish and
Deep Tissue massage to repair
sports injuries or to enable and
prepare the athlete for competition
at any level of play or work.
Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage

Swedish massage is flowing and used primarily
to soften, lengthen and relax soft tissue
(muscles). Greatest benefits are relaxation,
increased circulation and elimination of
biochemical waste from tissue.

Deep tissue is used in conjunction with
Swedish massage to break up adhesions in soft
tissue caused by stress or injury.
Foot Reflexology

Foot Reflexology  involves
applying focused pressure to
"reflex" points located in the
foot, which correspond to
areas in the body. Benefits
from receiving a reflexology
treatment include increased
circulation, relaxation, and
release of tensions.

Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)

Neuromuscular Therapy consists of
alternating levels of concentrated
pressure on the areas of a muscle
spasm. The therapist will apply alternating
levels of pressure to the tissue to
increase blood flow and reduce pain and
discomfort. NMT is also known as Trigger
Point Myotherapy.
Chinese Medical Massage
(Tui Na)

Tuina (Tui Na) is an Oriental Bodywork
Therapy that has been used in China for
2,000 years. Tuina (Tui Na) uses the
traditional Chinese medical theory of the flow
of Qi through the meridians as its basic
therapeutic orientation. Through the
application of massage and manipulation
techniques Tuina (Tui Na) seeks to establish
a more harmonious flow of Qi through the
system of channels and collaterals, allowing
the body the naturally heal itself.
